MAGNOLIA, Arkansas – Ouachita Women's Cross Country picked up a win in the Lois Davis Invitational hosted by Southern Arkansas University.
This was the second win for the Tigers with their top runners not competing in preparation for a meet in Dallas.
Becca Beard was the top finisher for the Tigers, coming in fourth place with a time of 19:48.5.
The next runner to cross the line for Ouachita was
Emily Payne who took ninth with a time of 20:32.6. Payne was followed by
Laynie White in tenth (20:40.4) and
Melina West taking eleventh with a time of 20:46.3 to round out the Tigers in the top 15.
Ouachita came in first with 36 points. Southern Arkansas was a close second with 39 points. The rest of the field each scored over 100 points. In order, they were, Jacksonville College, Henderson State, University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff, UA-Rich Mountain, Philander Smith and Arkansas-Monticello.
