JOPLIN, Missouri – Ouachita Baptist University Women's Cross Country team competed in the 2022 NCAA Cross Country Regional Championship Meet hosted by Missouri Southern State this morning.
Paving the way for the Tigers and breaking Ouachita's 6k record was
Taylor Koeth, coming in 36
th place with a time of 21:38.0. Breaking
Jaci McGregor's record of 22:05 set last year in the regionals.
As a team, the Tigers came in 13
th place out of a total of 36 teams, finishing first out of all the GAC schools represented at the meet.
A total of seven Tigers ran in the meet today. In order of finishing, they were Koeth,
Mackenzie Davis,
Jaci McGregor, Maci Cash,
Katelynn Nachtigal,
Allison Hylkema, and
Izzi Breaux.
With their thirteenth-place finish, the Tigers improved 10 spots from where they placed in last year's regional championships.
The Tigers finish their season with their first ever Great American Conference Championship and four other first place finishes.
