TYLER, Texas – Jaci McGregor registered her third straight event win to highlight Ouachita Baptist University's women's track and field performances at the UT-Tyler Ice Breaker Classic on Saturday, March 19.
McGregor crossed the finish line first of 31 runners in the 800-meter race with new school record time of 2:23.15. In the 1,500 meters, an event she won in her previous two meets, she broke her own school record with a time of 4:46.18 for a second-place finish.
Other school records broken in the event included
Staijah Taylor with a 9.41-meter triple jump,
Rebekah Wendt with a time of 1:09.23 in the 400-meter hurdles, and
Mackenzie Davis in the 5,000-meter race with a time of 18:49.73.
Other personal bests included Taylor in the 100-meter hurdles (17.69),
Emily Castilaw in the 1,500-meter race (5:21.37),
Hannah Bailey in the 1,500-meter race (5:26.04),
Adrienne Brown in the 400-meter dash (1:08.83),
Avery Howard in the 400-meter dash (1:14.07), Castilaw in the 800-meter race (2:34.08), Bailey in the 800-meter race (2:50.53),
Laynie White in the 400-meter hurdles (1:10.15), Taylor in the 400-meter hurdles (1:17.09), and
Kennedy Stringfellow in the 400-meter hurdles (1:20.40).
