SHAWNEE, Oklahoma – Mackenzie Davis set a new 5K record as she and two of her teammates represented Ouachita Baptist University at the Oklahoma Baptist Invitational on Friday.

Davis came in 12th in the 5,000-meter race on Friday, besting her own school record by three seconds with a time of 18:46.72.

Also competing in the event were Laynie White and Macie Cash. White came in fifth in the 800-meter race with a time of 2:25.61. Cash came in second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 12:02.03.
