SPRINGFIELD, Missouri – The 17th-ranked Ouachita Baptist University men's tennis team earned a hard-fought conference victory over 14th-ranked Northwest Missouri State on Sunday by a final score of 4-3.
After losing two of three doubles matches, the Tigers came from behind to win four singles matches to earn the overall win. Only Alex Blanchar was a part of doubles and singles victories in the win.
"We learned a lot in this match," said Ouachita Head Coach Craig Ward. "Dropping the doubles point and coming back against a team like Northwest Missouri is a difficult task physically and mentally. Getting this win will help our confidence in situations like this as the season continues."

Ouachita improves to 6-1 overall and 3-1 in conference matches, while Northwest Missouri falls to 2-1 overall and 0-1 in the MIAA/GAC.
The Tigers stay in Springfield to take on Drury on Monday starting at 10 a.m.
