ARKADELPHIA – Due to rain early this week, the first installment of the Battle of the Ravine softball edition has been pushed back one day.
The Great American Conference double header between the Tigers and Reddies was originally scheduled for this Tuesday, but will now be played on Wednesday, March 9. The first game will start at 3 p.m. at Sully Anderson Field on the Ouachita campus.
The Tigers (5-14, 1-5 GAC) come into the rivalry matchup with momentum following their first conference win of the season this past Saturday against 24th-ranked Harding. Ouachita dropped the series two games to one, but all three games were close with only one game decided by more than one run.
The Reddies (5-16, 3-3 GAC) are coming off a series loss at home to Arkansas-Monticello this past weekend, the only win coming in the series finale.
