RUSSELLVILLE, Arkansas – The Ouachita women's tennis wrapped up the fall portion of the 2023-24 schedule this past weekend in Russellville at the Great American Conference Fall Championships.
The Tigers had two players win their respective singles flights, both freshmen in
Sadbaroy Kholdarova and
Ruxandra Tolescu.
Kholdarova won the main draw of flight two, taking down Harding's Grace Dodd in the first round by scores of 7-6 (7-5) and 6-1 and then coming back to defeat Southern Arkansas' Annika Berrendorf by scores of 1-6, 6-2, and 11-9 to advance to the finals, where she beat Southeastern Oklahoma State's Larissa Giraldi Correa 6-0 and 7-5.
Tolescu won the main draw of flight four, winning all three matchups in straight sets. She took down SAU's Amelie Gindl in the first round 6-2 and 6-4, defeated Arkansas Tech's Monica Balau in the second round 7-5 and 6-1, and then won the finals matchup against Henderson State's Jenna Bonhert.

Austynn Crocker went 0-2 in flight one,
Natalia Zamora Caprirolo went 0-2 in flight three,
Olivia Gaston went 1-2 in flight five,
Ali May went 1-1 in flight six,
Marlee Bledsoe went 1-1 in flight seven,
Keelan Williams went 1-2 in flight eight, and
Carla Gallart Polo went 0-2 in flight eight.
In doubles, Kholdarova/Crocker went 0-2 in flight one, Zamora and Tolescu went 1-1 in flight two and won the consolation bracket, Gaston/
Shelly Davilus went 0-2 in flight three, Bledoes/May went 1-1 in flight four, and Gallart Polo/Williams went 0-2 in flight four.
