ARKADELPHIA – Ouachita Volleyball Setter
Courtney Hanson picked up her third Great American Conference Setter of the Week award of the year for her performances in the Tigers' wins against Harding and Southern Arkansas last week.
Hanson was second in the GAC this week with 67 assists, good for an average of 9.57 per set. The Arlington, Texas native was tied for the team lead in aces with three and ranked second among the Tigers with 25 digs. Hanson also recorded nine kills and a block across the two matches.
In the match against then first-place Harding, Hanson handed out 30 assists and grabbed 13 digs for her 12
th double-double of the season as the Tigers swept the Bisons for the first time since 1988. The sophomore also had two aces and three kills in the Tigers' win.
The second match of the week saw Hanson dish out 37 assists and grab 12 in a 3-1 win against Southern Arkansas to complete her 13
th double-double of the season. Hanson also racked up six kills, a block and an ace in the win.
This is Hanson's third GAC Setter of the Week honor so far this season.
The Tigers have just two games left in the regular season, with one of them being played tonight, Monday, November 6, across the street against the Reddies of Henderson State University at 6:30 p.m.
