JACKSON, Tennessee – Ouachita men's soccer opened the 2023 season on Thursday night on the road with a 3-0 loss to Union University.
The Bulldogs held. 22-8 advantage in total shots and an 8-2 lead in shots on goal.
The Tigers had two scoring opportunities in the game, the first coming in the 72nd minute on a shot on goal by
Zebastian Rios, and the second coming just three minutes later on a shot on goal by
Luca Bonzi.
Union scored its first goal on a penalty kick in the 29th minute. The second and third came in the 41st and 43rd minutes, respectively.
Ouachita continues its four-game road stretch to start the season this Saturday in Memphis, Tennessee against Christian Brothers.
