EDMOND, Oklahoma – The Ouachita women's tennis team combined for nine wins at the ITA Regionals over the past weekend at Edmond Center Court.
The highlights of the weekend included
Sadbaroy Kholdarova making it to the round of 16 in the A singles flight and finishing 2-1. She was the only player from a Great American Conference school to advance that far in the main flight.
Natalia Zamora Caprirolo also shined in singles, advancing to the quarterfinals of the B consolation flight and finishing with a 3-2 record.
In doubles, the Tigers were led by Zamora Caprirolo and
Ruxandra Tolescu, who finished 2-2 and were the runners-up of the B flight consolation bracket.
Other singles wins for the Tigers came from
Austynn Crocker (1-1), Tolescu (2-1),
Marlee Bledsoe (1-2),
Ali May (1-1), and
Keelan Williams (1-2).
The Tigers are at home for the first time this year this weekend for the Ouachita Tennis Alumni & Friends Homecoming Tournament. The action starts this Saturday, September 30 at 9 a.m.
