TAHLEQUAH, Oklahoma – The Ouachita women's tennis team combined for 10 wins in singles and doubles over the past weekend competing at the Rumble by the River in the 2023-24 fall opener.

On Friday, against the host, Northeastern State, the Tigers earned singles wins by Austynn Crocker (6-0, 6-0) in first position and Sadbaroy Kholdarova (6-3, 6-3) in third position. Later in the day against Dallas Baptist, Kholdarova (6-4, 7-6) again earned a win in third position along with Ruxandra Tolescu (6-3, 6-4) in fifth position along with Olivia Gaston (7-5, 6-3) in seventh and Marlee Bledsoe (6-4) in 10th.

In doubles on Friday, Crocker and Kholdarova earned a 6-4 win in first position against Northeastern, followed later in the day with a 7-6 (8) win from Gaston and Tolescu in second position against Emporia State.

On Saturday, Kholdarova moved to 3-0 to start her Ouachita career with a 6-4, 6-2 win in third position against Emporia State. Gaston also picked up a win in that match, taking down her ESU opponent 6-1 and 6-2 in sixth position.

The Tigers are back in action next weekend, September 8-10 in Plano, Texas at the Marty Berryman Invitational hosted by Collin College.
