RUSSELLVILLE, Arkansas – Ouachita women's cross country runner
Macie Cash has been named the Great American Conference's Runner of the Week for her performance at the 2024 Tiger Invitational last Friday.
Cash played a large role in securing the Tiger's 10-point win at the Tiger Invitational. The Greenwood, Arkansas native placed second overall, but earned first-place points for Ouachita after running the 5K with a time of a 18:24.20.
As a team, Ouachita placed first overall at the meet with a score of 24 points. The Tigers beat out four other GAC teams competing in the event for the top spot.
This is Cash's first career runner of the week award and the Ouachita women's second award this season.
The Tigers closed out the regular season this past Friday with the Tiger Invitational and will now prepare for the 2024 Great American Conference Championships which are set to take place on Saturday, October 26 in Ada, Oklahoma.
