ARKADELPHIA – The No. 20 Ouachita men's swimming and diving team went across the street and came back victorious after taking down the No. 12 RedWave of Henderson State University 123-114 Friday night.
The Tigershark men won seven of the 13 events.
Daniel Meszaros picked up three of those seven event wins, picking up victories in the 100 Freestyle (46.36), the 200 Freestyle by more than three seconds (1:39.60), and the 500 Freestyle by almost four seconds (4:41.97) to earn 27 points for the Tigersharks. Meszaros hit the NCAA B Standard with his 200 Free time.
Zsombor Bujdoso earned the win in the 400 IM by over a second with a time of 4:07.33.
Elijah Donaldson won the 3-Meter Dive by almost 37 points with a score of 296.45.
Carson Powers won the 1-Meter Dive by 23 points with a score of 240.90.
Sam Ragsdell won the 50 Freestyle by 0.03 seconds with a time of 21.23.
The Tigersharks tallied 14 top three and 32 top five finishes to earn the big win over the nationally ranked RedWave.
This marks the Tigersharks' third dual meet win over a ranked team this season having already taken down No. 20 Delta State, No. 13 Oklahoma Christian, and now No. 12 HSU.
Tonight's win is the second win of the season over the Henderson State, after taking first place over the RedWave at the All Arkansas Invitational in September.
The Tigersharks will look to keep up the momentum when they travel to Cleveland, Mississippi to compete in the Delta State University Turkey Invitational that will run November 22-24.
