BENTONVILLE, Arkansas – Tiger softball senior
Erin Williams has earned All-Great American Conference honors for the 2024 season.
Williams was selected to the All-GAC Second Team for her performance on the diamond this season.
The senior catcher led Ouachita in nearly every offensive category over the course of the 2024 season while seeing action in all 52 games for the Tigers. The senior posted a .331 batting average with a .649 slugging percentage that ranks fourth in the GAC this season and fifth all-time at Ouachita for a single season. Williams tallied 51 hits, 32 RBI, 10 home runs, five triples, nine doubles, and accounted for 100 total bases over the course of the 2024 campaign.
The Stuttgart, Arkansas native's 10 home runs were the most by a Tiger in a single season since 2018. The five triples were a single-season Ouachita record and ranked second in the GAC for 2024. Williams' 100 total bases also ranks fourth in the conference this season.
Williams ended her Ouachita career with a big way, earning the GAC's final Player of the Week award on Monday for her help in pushing the Tigers to a 5-0 record in the last week of the season that included three home runs, one of which being a walk-off grand slam to secure Ouachita's first series win of the year.
The senior has made a place for herself in the Ouachita record books after this season. In addition to the previously mentioned record book entries, Williams ranks second in career triples with seven, second in career slugging percentage with a .572, and fourth in career OPS with a .942.
This is Williams' second All-GAC honor for her career after being named to the All-GAC Honorable Mention Team in 2023.
