LEXINGTON, Kentucky – For the sixth straight season and 10th overall, the Ouachita volleyball team has earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award, sponsored this season by INTENT.

The award honors teams that maintained at least a 3.3 grade point average during the past year. The Tigers checked in at 3.64, up from 3.61 in 2022-23.

Almost the entire 2023-24 roster earned either a spot on the Ouachita President's List or Dean's List during the past year, highlighted by eight 4.0 selections to the President's List in the fall and nine in the spring.

Culminating the year were three graduates from the 2023-24 roster – Kellen Church with a bachelor's degree in business administration, EJ Day with a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance, and Kayla Steinmeyer with a bachelor's degree in nursing. Karli Ferguson, who was a senior on the 2022 team, spent the past year teaching fourth grade in Arkadelphia and finished up her bachelor's degree in elementary education.
