RUSSELLVILLE, Arkansas – The Great American Conference has released the updated standings for the 2025-26 Commissioner's Cup and President's Trophy. Ouachita ranks second in both heading into the second half of the year.
The Tiger volleyball team highlights Ouachita's fall performances, earning the maximum number of points. The Tigers went 15-1 in GAC matches this season to win the league's regular season championship outright. It was the second GAC regular season title for the Tigers in volleyball.
The Ouachita women's cross country team came in second at the league's championship meet to give the Tigers 11 out of a possible 12 points. The Tiger football team tied for third this year. The women's soccer team and men's cross country team each earned five points.
The standings do not include men's soccer, which is a combined conference with the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association. The Tigers saw significant improvement this season under second-year head coach
Wes Holifield, finishing just three points in the final standings away from third place.
The GAC Commissioner's Cup awards the department with the highest number of points. The GAC President's Trophy awards the athletic department with the highest percentage based on the points available. The Tigers earned 41.5 total points, which was 81.37 percent of the available points.
