PITTSBURG, Kansas – The Ouachita women's indoor track & field team wrapped up its regular season with new seven school records and eight top 10 finishes at the Pitt State Indoor Gorilla Classic this weekend.
 
There were no team scores kept at this meet, but the Tigers fared well against some of the top programs in Division II as well as some Division I teams.
 
Allison Hylkema set a new school record in the 5000m with a time of 17:47.24, placing ninth and breaking the previous record by almost 18 seconds.
 
Katelynn Nachtigal set the school record in the 3000m with a time of 9:58.83, placing fifth and breaking the previous record by almost 12 seconds.
 
Jaci McGregor broke her school record in the 800m by almost two seconds with a time of 2:16.91, placing ninth in the event.
 
Belle Lindsey set a new record in the 60m Hurdles with a time of 8.98 seconds, breaking her own record by 0.11 seconds.
 
Laynie White broke her own record in the 600y with a time of 1:28.25 to finish ninth and break her previous record by 0.20 seconds.
 
The Distance Medley Relay squad of Nachtigal, Anna Woolsey, McGregor, and Izzi Breaux placed third in the event and set a new school record with a DII Provisional time of 11:45.11, breaking the previous record by more than 13 seconds.
 
The 4x400m Relay squad of Woolsey, White, McGregor, and Lindsey finished tenth and set a new school record with a time of 3:57.76, breaking the previous record by more than four seconds.
 
In total, Ouachita tallied eight top 10 finishes.
 
In addition to the record breakers, Elise Knight finished sixth in the 3000m with a time of 10:04.24 and Woolsey placed eighth in the 200m Open with a time of 25.23.
 
This wraps up the indoor season for the Tigers. The outdoor season is set to start on Saturday, March 1 at the Hendrix Open in Conway, Arkansas.
