CONWAY, Arkansas – The Ouachita women's track & field team opened the 2025 outdoor season with a six event wins and four new school records at the Hendrix Invitational.
 
No team scores were kept at this season-opening meet, but the women fared well against competition from Division I in Central Arkansas, and Division II foes that included fellow GAC members Arkansas Tech, Harding, Southern Nazarene, and Southwestern Oklahoma State.
 
The Winners:
 
Belle Lindsey won the 100m Hurdles by more than a second with a time of 14.43, setting a school record and a Hendrix stadium record in the process.
 
Anna Woolsey won the 200m by 0.36 seconds with a time of 25.10. Woolsey also placed second in the 200m with a time of 12.24, just 0.17 seconds out of first.
 
Addrienna Gray won the 400m Hurdles by over a second with a time of 10:07.28.
 
Elise Knight won the 3000m Steeplechase by almost 30 seconds with a time of 11:05.88.
 
The 4x100m Relay team of Gray, Woolsey, Lindsey, and Dunn won the event by almost two seconds with a time of 48.55, setting a new school record in the win.
 
The 4x400m Relay team of 
Macie Cash, Nachtigal, Breaux, and McGregor won the event by over 11 seconds with a time of 4:09.35.
 
The Records:
 
Emily Payne set a new school record and placed fourth in the Javelin Throw with a distance of 31.84m (104' 6"), less than a meter out of third place, and breaking her own previous record by over one meter.
 
Charley Stallings set a new program record in the pole vault with a height of 2.95m (9' 8.25"), breaking the previous record by five inches and placing fifth in the event.
 
Top Finishers: 
 
Ouachita posted three runners in the top four of the 1500m race, all finishing within a second and a half of each other. Kate Nachtigal took second with a time of 4:44.11. 
Jaci McGregor was next in third (4:44.61), and 
Mackenzie Davis placed fourth (4:45.22)
 
The Tigers also had two top three finishers in the triple jump, as 
Rachel Dunn placed second in the triple jump with a distance of 11.11m (36' 5.50"), and 
Mariah Whittle placed third with a distance of 10.22m (33' 6.25"). Dunn also placed fifth in the long jump with a distance of 5.36m.
 
Izzi Breaux finished second in the 800m with a time of 2:20.24.
 
Lucy Holden took second in the 5000m with a time of 18:35.50 and finished first among GAC runners.
 
Addison Skelton placed second in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 15.84.
 
 
Kayli Fitzhugh took third in the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 12:31.32. 
Maggie Gregory was close behind, taking fourth in the event with a time of 12:49.50.
 
The 4x400m Relay team of 
Addi Durand, 
Rylee Walker, Jordan Could, and 
Peyton Macejewski took second with a time of 4:20.52.
 
The Tigers will be back in action next week when they travel to compete in the Harding Invitational & Multi that is set to run March 6-8 in Searcy, Arkansas.
