MANHEIM, Pennsylvania – Four Ouachita student-athletes have earned a spot on the 2025 National Wrestling Coaches Association NCAA Division II Scholar All-America Team.
Ouachita's honorees include sophomore Caleb Andrews, redshirt freshman Jack Golowenski, graduate student Jaylon Otero, and sophomore Justin Shaw.
Qualifications for the honor include a wrestler that competed in at least four dates of competition this year with at 3.5 cumulative GPA. That benchmark moves to 3.25 for NCAA Wrestling Championships participants and 3.0 for those that earned All-America honors.
Andrews was Ouachita's No. 1 wrestler in the 149-weight class this year. The Belle Chasse, Louisiana native is majoring in computer science with a minor in mathematics.
Golowenski wrestled in 10 events this year, primarily in the 165-weight class. The Tuttle, Oklahoma native is majoring in mechanical engineering.
Otero was included in the national rankings for the most of the season in the 157-weight class. The Tulsa, Oklahoma native earned a bachelor's degree in kinesiology in 2024, and is currently pursuing a master's degree in exercise science.
Shaw wrestled in 12 events and ended up as Ouachita's top athlete in the 125-weight class. The Batesville, Arkansas native is majoring in music industry.
