SEARCY, Arkansas – The Ouachita men's tennis team has now swept through all four Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association/Great American Conference south division opponents following a 4-3 road victory over 16th-ranked Harding on Tuesday.

The Tigers, now 12-8 overall and 4-0 in MIAA/GAC matches, will be the No. 1 seed from the south division in the combined conference championship tournament set for April 30-May 2 in Springfield, Missouri.

The Bisons (12-5, 2-1) opened Tuesday's match with a sweep in doubles to take a 1-0 lead into singles. Harding made it 2-0 with a quick win on court five in singles.

Ouachita's Aaron Osmond then came through with a three-set win on court six and Elias Lagger earned a two-set win on court three to even up the overall score at 2-2.

The Bisons earned another win on court four before the nationally-ranked athletes became the center of attention on courts one and two. Ouachita's Phil Exner, who moved back into the No. 1 spot nationally in singles was up against Harding's 10th-ranked Cas de Ruiter on court one, and No. 62 Ramon Strassmann was paired up with 19th-ranked Adrian Solorzano on court two.

Both Tigers prevailed with Strassmann needing extra points to win the second set on court two and Exner clinching the match with a third-set win on court one.
