ORLANDO, Florida – A pair of Ouachita athletic communications staff members were recently recognized among the best of the best in their respective fields with high marks in the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators Creative & Digital Design contest.

Matthew Branch, who recently finished his third year as Ouachita's assistant director of athletic communications, earned national rankings in photography and video production. He finished seventh in the nation in the college division and second at the NCAA Division II level in the photographer of the year portfolio contest.

Branch also earned fifth place in the college division and second place in D2 in the long form videos contest with his recap video of Ouachita football's win over then-ranked No. 1 Harding.  

Hannah Schulze, who served as graphic designer for the Ouachita athletics department for the past three years, also earned high marks. She finished 15th at the D2 level for her promotional graphic featuring her brother Miles winning the New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference Performer of the Year award. She also came in 15th in the nation in the college division and eighth place in D2 for her graphic celebrating Ouachita women's cross country's Great American Conference championship. Her graphic for the Ouachita volleyball team winning the GAC tournament championship came in 14th in D2. Schulze graduated from Ouachita this past May with a bachelor's degree in art and graphic design.

"These two, along with many others, have significantly elevated how we celebrate and promote our student-athletes," said Ouachita Assistant Athletic Director Brian Ramsey. "I'm so proud of both of them for not just the work they do, but also their professionalism and commitment to high-quality productions."
