LEXINGTON, Kentucky – For the seventh straight season and 11th overall, the Ouachita volleyball team has earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award, sponsored again this season by INTENT.

The award honors teams that maintained at least a 3.3 grade point average during the past year. The Tigers finished with a 3.64 team GPA this year, their second straight with at least a 3.6.

15 members of the 2024-25 roster earned a spot either on the Ouachita President's List or Dean's List during the past year, highlighted by four student-athletes making the President's List with a perfect 4.0 GPA in both semesters.

The continued academic success for the program coincided with one of the most successful seasons on the court. The 2024 Tigers finished the year with a 22-10 record, highlighted by winning the Great American Conference Championship Tournament and earning a spot in the NCAA Division II tournament.

The 2025 campaign begins the weekend of September 5-6 at the UT-Tyler Patriot Classic. The first home match is September 11 at 5 p.m. against Arkansas-Fort Smith.
