EDMOND, Oklahoma – The Ouachita men's tennis team moved to 3-0 start the spring season with a 4-1 victory over Southwest Baptist on Saturday in Edmond.
The match was called in the midst of a lightning delay with Ouachita already having clinched the match-winner.
The Tigers won two of three in doubles with the duo of
Yarin Aebi and
Ramon Strassmann coming away with a 6-3 win at No. 1 and the 17th-ranked duo of
Aaron Osmond and
Moritz Buss winning 6-2 at No. 2.
Strassmann tallied a commanding victory at No. 1 singles, 6-0 and 6-1.
Guillaume Randoux won in two sets at No. 5, and
Aaron Osmond won in three sets at No. 4 to account for the other two Ouachita points in the match.
Ouachita is back in action next Saturday on the road against McKendree.
