PENSACOLA, Florida – Through the first two days of the 2026 New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference Championships, Ouachita has collected two event wins and five top three finishes.
The Tigersharks started the week on a high note, winning the men's 800 free relay on Tuesday night with the team of
Stefan Duca,
James Savarese,
Tyler Andruss, and
Vince Pal finishing ahead of the pack with a time of 6:35.54, which was more than four seconds faster than their seed time.
On Wednesday,
Sam Ragsdell won the 50 free race with an NCAA B standard time of 20.22, while
Tyler Andruss came in second in the 1,000 free with a new school record time of 9:19.14.
Ouachita had third place finishes in the 4x50 medley relay (
Mikhail Lymar,
Justin Oulette,
David Ware,
Ian Redman Aguilar) and one meter diving (
Carson Powers).
Anna Phelps was Ouachita's top female performer on Wednesday with a fifth-place finish in 1,000 free with an NCAA B standard time of 10:22.01.
Through 11 events, Ouachita's men are currently in second place at 298.5 behind Henderson State in first at 319. The Ouachita women are sitting in third at 153.
Thursday's action includes the prelims and finals for the 100 butterfly, 400 individual medley, 200 freestyle, the 400 medley relay, and three-meter diving. Prelims start at 10 a.m. Finals are set for 5 p.m.
