CLINTON, Mississippi – The Ouachita baseball team fell on the road to Mississippi College on Tuesday by a final score of 12-1.
The Choctaws (14-10) took control with three runs in the third inning and continued to build the lead with two runs in the fourth, three in the fifth, and four in the sixth. Ouachita (10-10) scored its lone run in the top of the sixth inning on an RBI groundout from Joseph Bolin.
Jaren Ceasar went 2-for-3 at the plate to account for half of Ouachita's hits in the game.
MC finished with 12 runs on 13 hits, while the Tigers were limited to four hits and committed three errors in the loss.
Ouachita returns to action this weekend in Great American Conference play, hosting Southern Nazarene for a three-game series opening with a double header on Friday, March 13 starting at 1 p.m.
