ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita baseball team trailed throughout Tuesday's home midweek game against Union and ultimately fell 5-3 to the Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs (11-15) jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning and maintained an advantage throughout, building on in the middle innings to keep the Tigers in chase mode.
Ouachita (12-12) put up single runs in the second and third innings to trim its deficit to one.
Cole Bedwell hit an RBI single in the second.
Kyndall Cassidy drove in a run in the third on his second double of the game.
With Union lead 5-2, the Tigers rallied late with an RBI single from
Reece McWilliams in the eighth and then got the tying run on in the ninth. However, the Bulldogs caught the Tiger runner stealing at second to end the game.
The Tigers are on the road for their next eight games, starting with a trip to Shawnee, Oklahoma this weekend for a three-game Great American Conference series against Oklahoma Baptist.
