Box Score SPARTANBURG, South Carolina – The Ouachita men's tennis team rallied back after losing the doubles point to beat Converse University on the road Tuesday by a final score of 4-3.
Ramon Strassmann and
Yarin Aebi won their doubles match on court one by a 6-1 score, but the Valkyries won on courts two and three to lead 1-0 heading into singles.
Strassman and Aebi stayed unbeaten for the day with singles wins on courts one and two, respectively. Strassmann bounced back from his first singles loss of the spring season this past Saturday to win on Tuesday in two sets by scores of 6-3 and 6-4. Aebi also won in two sets 6-2 and 6-4.
Guillaume Randoux came through for a convincing win on court four by scores of 6-2 and 6-0 to put the Tigers up 3-1. Converse's Marty Letessier won on court three to make it 3-2.
Aaron Osmond secured the match win for the Tigers by taking down his opponent on court five by scores of 6-3 and 6-2.
The Tigers are back to the central time zone for the rest of the regular season. Up next is a road trip to take on UT-Tyler next Tuesday, March 31.
