ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita men's tennis team was saddled with its first conference loss of the season on Tuesday in a 6-1 setback to 45th-ranked Harding at home.
In doubles, the Tiger duo of
Ramon Strassmann and
Yarin Aebi knocked off the third-ranked doubles tandem in the nation in Harding's Cian Mikkelsen and Adrian Solorzano by a 6-3 score on court one. The Bisons won on courts two and three to take a 1-0 lead into singles.
The Bisons had two-set wins on courts one, three, and a win by retirement on court two after the first set. The visitors closed out the match with a three-set win on court six.
Guillaume Randoux was responsible for the lone Tiger point, beating his HU counterpart 6-4 and 6-1 on court four.
The Tigers close out the regular season this Thursday, April 23 on the road in a conference matchup against Northeastern State.
