TAHLEQUAH, Oklahoma – The Ouachita men's tennis team put an exclamation point on the 2026 regular season with a 6-1 road victory over Northeastern State on Thursday.
The Tigers head into postseason at 15-7 overall and 4-1 in MIAA/GAC matches. Ouachita will be the No. 2 seed from the south division in next week's MIAA/GAC Championship Tournament in Springfield, Missouri. The full bracket will be released when pairings are finalized.
In Thursday's win over the Riverhawks, the Tigers' top doubles tandem dropped a close match on court one, but the teams of Mortiz Buss and
Aaron Osmond and
Maximilian Brenner and
Tinus Mueller picked them up with close wins on courts two and three to give Ouachita a 1-0 lead heading into singles.
Ouachita won five of the six singles matches, including three-set victories for
Ramon Strassmann on court one,
Guillaume Randoux on court three, and
Aaron Osmond on court four. Brenner and Mueller each earned two-set wins on courts five and six, respectively. Brenner only surrendered two games in his convincing win on five.
