EMPORIA, Kansas – Ouachita student-athletes
Katelynn Nachtigal and
Aden Hecht have both earned All-America honors for their performances at the 2026 NCAA Division II Track & Field Championships.
Nachtigal becomes Ouachita's first ever female All-American in track & field. Hecht is Ouachita's first male in the NCAA era to earn the honor. Both are second team honorees this season.
Hecht, a sophomore from Tyler, Texas, earned his honor by turning in a 10th-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 52.06. It was his second-fastest performance in the event.
Nachtigal, a recent graduate from Rogers, Arkansas, ran the 3,000-meter steeplechase twice at nationals, turning in a 10:40.20 finish in the preliminary round to earn a spot in the finals where she finished 12th at 11:12.16.
Elise Knight and
Joey Babel also represented the Tigers at nationals. Knight finished 22nd in the steeplechase. Babel finished 22nd in the 400-meter dash.
