RUSSELLVILLE, Arkansas - Ouachita women's soccer players
Dominique Klujian and
Isabella Savattere have been named Great American Conference Players of the Week.
Klujian, a true freshman, was named Goalkeeper of the Week after picking up a win and a draw in-goal for the Tigers last week. The Barrington, Illinois native allowed just one goal and recorded 10 saves in two games against Oklahoma Baptist and Southern Nazarene. She picked up her second shutout of the season in a 3-0 victory over Oklahoma Baptist.
Savattere, a senior defender/midfielder, played 119 minutes in two contests last week. Anchoring the defense, the Rowlett, Texas native contributed to the defensive efforts that allowed just one goal in two games, while also contributing the game-winning goal against Oklahoma Baptist, her fourth career goal as a Tiger.
These honors mark the second and third earned by Ouachita women's soccer this season, as defender
Bri Lilly was named Defensive Player of the Week on September 8.
The Tigers are slated for two home games this week at Kluck Field: Southwestern Oklahoma State on Thursday, October 1 at 3 p.m. and Northwestern Oklahoma State on Saturday, October 3 at 11 a.m.
