Marko Boskovic repeated as Player of Year.
Boskovic completed an undefeated run against GAC opponents at both the No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles positions. He enters the GAC Championships as the Central Region's top-ranked singles player and the No. 19 player in the nation, according to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA).
He and fellow All-GAC selection
Vitor Oliveira partnered to form the top-ranked doubles team in the region and the No. 7 tandem in Division II. Boskovic finished with an 11-3 record at No. 1 singles and 14-2 with Oliveira at No. 1 doubles. Oliveira posted a 10-4 record at the No. 2 position. The ITA has him ranked as the 10th-ranked player in the region.
The 2014 GAC Men's Tennis Championships, held in Bentonville, Ark., for the second-straight year, will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday. Top-seeded Southeastern Oklahoma State will face Ouachita Baptist, the two-time champions. Harding and East Central face off in the other semifinal.
