ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Coach
Steven Bostick and the Ouachita Baptist Swim and Dive Teams announced their 2019-2020 schedule today.
The Tigers will open up their season on September 14 as they swim in the annual Purple and White meet. They will then welcome Loyola New Orleans to Sturgis as they compete on September 21. The Alumni & Homecoming meet on October 5 will round out the opening home stand for Ouachita.
On October 11 and 12 the Tigers will travel to the University of Texas Permian Basin before coming back to Arkadelphia to face off against Henderson State. The Women's Swim and Dive team will look to continue their success against the Reddies after defeating them last season for the first time since 2012.
Incarnate Word will then swim against the Tigers in SPEC on October 26
th. Ouachita will then travel to Hendrix (November 8) and to the Trinity Invite (November 15-17) before breaking for December.
They will face off with the University of West Florida after the break on January 4. They then will have three consecutive home meets facing off against Montevallo (January 10), Henderson State (January 24) and Oklahoma Baptist (January 31). The Tigers will end their season on February 1 as they travel to Little Rock to face off against UALR and Vanderbilt University. The NSISC Conference tournament will be held February 20-23.
Quick Facts
- Incarnate Word is coached by Phillip Davis who swam here and was the assistant on our 06 4th place national team. A homecoming for him of sorts.
- Vandy will be the first time we've swam an SEC school since the early 90s when Texas A&M came to Ouachita. They were not in the SEC at the time…
- Montevallo is joining the conference year and will be our first meeting.
- Brandon Parramore who graduated this year will be The GA at UALR which will add to the rivalry.
