RUSSELLVILLE, Arkansas – Ouachita Baptist University freshman Whit Lawrence has been named the Great American Conference men's cross country runner of the week.

Lawrence recently finished in first place of 67 runners at the Ouachita Tiger Invitational this past Friday in Arkadelphia.

The Mountain Home native turned in a time of 25:28, a full 13 seconds ahead of the runner up.

With Lawrence in first place and six of his teammates in the top 15, Ouachita finished in first place as a team for the first time this season.

Lawrence and the Tigers are back in action this Saturday in Huntsville, Alabama for the Charger Invitational.
