HUNTSVILLE, Alabama – The Ouachita Baptist University cross country teams competed against a tough field of multiple ranked teams from across the Southeast region and beyond on Saturday in the Charger Invitational hosted by the University of Alabama-Huntsville.
Mackenzie Davis highlighted the women's team with a collegiate personal best time of 18:13.05 for a 32nd place finish out of 292 runners.
Jaci McGregor came in 59th with a time of 18:44.20, her second best 5K time this season. As a team, Ouachita finished 15th of 33 teams with an average time of 19:02.
The men's team came in 24th of 33 teams with an average time of 26:44 in the 8K. Individually,
Whit Lawrence led the Tigers in 103rd place out of 340 runners with a time of 25:52.34.
Cade Swindle and
Jaelen Becho also finished in the top 200 with times of 26:17.20 and 26:42.36, respectively.
Both teams are off next weekend as they prepare for the Great American Conference Championships on Saturday, October 23 in Searcy.
