JOPLIN, Missouri – The Ouachita Baptist University cross-country teams competed at the NCAA Central Region Championship on Saturday with both teams finishing in 23rd place.

The men's team finished in 23rd out of 31 teams. The women finished 23rd out of 35 teams. It was the longest race of the season for both teams with the women running a 6K and the men running a 10K.

Individually for the men's team, Whit Lawrence led the team with a 58th place finish out of 207 runners with a time of 31:49. Cade Swindle finished at 90th with a time of 32:26.2.

For the women's team, Jaci McGregor led the Tigers in 40th place out of 237 runners with a time of 22:05.6. Mackenzie Davis finished 87th at 22:58.7.
