ITA Women's Release
The Ouachita Baptist men's and women's tennis teams were well represented in the ITA's announcement of its 2020-21 academic awards Tuesday. Both squads earned Division II All-Academic Team accolades, while seven men and four women claimed ITA Scholar Athlete recognition.

Alex Blanchar,
Fernando Docters and
Javi Sanchis Fito all earned Scholar Athlete accolades on the men's side.
Makeilah Turner,
Claire Phillips,
Austynn Crocker and
Carla Gallart were named Scholar Athletes representing the women's team.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form.
To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale), all student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form, and all varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.
