SHAWNEE, Oklahoma – Ouachita Men's Cross Country competed in the Great American Conference Championships, coming in fourth place out of eight teams.
Whit Lawrence was the top finisher for the Tigers, coming in tenth place with a time of 25:47.3.
The next Tiger across the line was
Evan Armitage in 14th (26:05.6). Followed by
Cade Swindle in 20
th (26:42.3),
Lawson Sanders in 21
st (26:43.9) and
Jaelen Becho in 25
th (26:55.0) to round out the Tigers in the top 25.
With their top 20 finishes, three Tiger runners earned All-GAC honors:
Whit Lawrence made First Team All-GAC, and Armitage and Swindle made Second Team All-GAC.
Continuing with the awards,
Andrew Tarlton and Joshua Tibbs were both named GAC Scholar Athletes for their performance in the classroom.
Ouachita placed fourth overall with a total of 90 points.
