ARKADELPHIA – Cade Burris had five runs batted in and
Beau Burson struck out 10 Missouri Western batters to lead the Ouachita Baptist University baseball team in a 9-3 win over the Griffons on Thursday afternoon at Rab Rodgers Field.
Burris went 3-for-5 at the plate, highlighted by a bases-clearing double and a two-run single. Burson (1-1) had a more-than-quality start for the Tigers (2-2), allowing two runs off five hits with 10 strikeouts in the first six innings.
Ouachita totaled nine hits in the win. In addition to Burris' multi-hit day,
Wyatt Core went 2-for-5 with two RBI.

G. Allen,
Blake Tubbs, and
Jud Arrington were responsible for the rest of the Tiger hits.
The Tigers continue their current nine-game homestand on Friday against Northwest Missouri State. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
