ARKADELPHIA – The eighth-ranked Ouachita Baptist University men's tennis team earned its fifth consecutive victory on Friday with a 6-1 win over Midwestern State at home.
The Tigers improve to 8-1 overall, while the Mustangs drop to 3-4.
"It was our first match outdoors, and the conditions were a challenge, but our guys responded well," said Ouachita Head Coach Craig Ward. "Midwestern always has a good team."
The Tigers won the doubles point, taking two of three with the only loss coming to the second-ranked doubles team in the nation. Ouachita came away with five wins in singles.
