CONWAY, Arkansas – The Ouachita Baptist University women's track and field team picked up a decisive team victory at the Hendrix Invitational on Saturday in its first full squad meet of the 2022 season.

The Tigers finished with a total of 130 points, followed by Millsaps (97), Southwestern Oklahoma State (90), Rogers State (81), John Brown (72), Freed Hardeman (43), Hendrix (36), Central Baptist (20), Lyon (3), and Williams Baptist (1).

Other than the team win, other highlights from the day included four new school records, nine new personal bests, and three event wins. The new school records came in 1,500 meters, the 4x400 meter relay, the 3,000-meter steeplechase, and the 100-meter hurdles.

Jaci McGregor turned in her second consecutive first place finish in the 1,500-meter race with a new school record time of 4:47.29, breaking her own record set last weekend at the Mississippi College outdoor season opener by three seconds.
 

The Tigers had three sets of runners in the 4x400 meter relay in the second-to-last event of the day, coming in first, fifth, and seventh place in the event. The first-place quartet of Alexis Perry, Rebekah Wendt, Victoria Bourgeois, and McGregor set a new school record with a time of 4:11.51.

Macie Cash came in first place out of nine runners in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a school record time of 11:47.48.

In the 100-meter hurdles, Staijah Taylor came in second with a school record time of 17:39.

Other top performances included personal bests for Grace Loftin, Sydney Delgado, Kristen Holeyfield, Izzi Breaux, and Lexi Huse in their respective events.

Ouachita's club men's team also performed well in the event with seven top five finishes, including Keegan Pointer coming across the line first in the 800-meter race out of 26 runners with a time of 1:59.05.
