TIGERS CAP ROAD STRETCH WITH BIG WIN

MEMPHIS, Tennessee – The Ouachita Baptist University baseball team wrapped up a stretch of eight consecutive road games on Tuesday with an 11-4 win over Christian Brothers. The Tigers went 6-2 during the time away from Rab Rodgers Field.

In Tuesday's win over CBU (5-11), the Tigers (12-6) jumped out to a big lead with two runs in the second and three in the third to hold a 5-2 advantage going into the fourth. Both runs in the second came on a double by Noah Bachman. Ouachita took advantage of a CBU error to score two in the third, and also got on an RBI single by CW Schrader.

The Tigers put up another crooked number in the sixth with four coming across the plate to take a 9-3 lead. Ouachita's scoring in the inning came on back-to-back two-run doubles by Wyatt Core and Dustin Bermudez.

Ouachita scored one in both of the seventh and eighth innings to finalize the scoring. Tucker Anderson had an RBI single in the seventh. The run in the eighth came across due to CBU's third error of the game.

Bachman finished the game 3-for-5 to account for a fourth of Ouachita's 12 hits in the win. Anderson, Bermudez, Schrader, and Isaac Nowell all had two hits. A total of 18 Tigers participated in the victory.

Six Tiger pitchers combined to allow four runs (two earned) off nine hits with 12 strikeouts and only three walks surrendered.
