JONESBORO, Arkansas – The Ouachita Baptist University women's track and field team wrapped up the 2022 regular season on Friday and Saturday with four new school records at the Arkansas State Red Wolves Open.
Jaci McGregor crossed the finish line first in the 800-meter and third in the 1,500-meter races with new school record times of 2:16.62 and 4:42.69, respectively. It was the third time this season the Salado, Texas native has posted a new school record in the 800-meter race, and the fifth time to set a new record in the 1,500-meter race.
Rebekah Wendt broke her own school record in the 400-meter hurdles with a third-place finish and a time of 1:09.04.
In the fourth record-breaking performance of the day, Staijah Taylor turned in a time of 16.84 in the 100-meter hurdles.
Other personal bests at the event included Izzi Breaux in the 800-meter race (2:25.11) and Brandi Rottman in the high jump (4'11").
The Tigers are now set to compete at the Great American Conference Championships on May 5-7 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
