ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita men's soccer team closed out the home portion of the 2023 schedule on Saturday with a 2-1 loss to Rogers State.
The game was played at Arkadelphia High School's Badger Stadium due to rain and unplayable field conditions at Ouachita's Kluck Field.
Ouachita struck first just two and half minutes into the game on a corner kick by
Daniel Marcano headed in by
Ebon Jordan. It was Jordan's team-leading fourth goal of the season and the 10th of his career. It was Marcano's third assist of the season.
The Hillcats equalized the score on a penalty kick in the 14th minute after Ouachita was called for a handball. The game-winner came in the second half in the 64th minute.
RSU held a 20-8 advantage in total shots, a 6-3 lead in shots on frame, and 10-1 lead in corners.
The Tigers wrap up the 2023 season this Thursday, November 2 on the road against Northeastern State.
