ARKADELPHIA – Ouachita women's basketball coach Robert Dallimore has announced the signing of Kaitlyn McCarn from Mountain View, Arkansas to join the Tigers for the 2024-25 season and beyond.

McCarn has been a key part of three total state championships at Mountain View High School – two in basketball and one in track. She has been an all-conference performer twice in basketball, three times in cross country, and two times in track. She has also earned all-state honors in all three sports.

On the basketball court last season, she averaged 22 points, eight rebounds, and three steals per game. Off the court, McCarn has maintained a 4.0 grade point average and is also a member of Beta and FBLA.

Ouachita coach Robert Dallimore says, "Kaitlyn has amazing quickness with the ball in her hand. She is highly skilled and has a great motor. Her versatility will allow her to play multiple positions for us. I am excited to have her join our family because of her talent and work ethic on the court and dedication to excellence off the court. She has always been a team-first player, and I can't wait to coach her next year."

Mountain View coach TJ Coleman says, "Ouachita is gaining a dedicated young lady who exemplifies the quality of a true winner both on an off the court. Kaitlyn is one of the most committed and competitive athletes that I have had the privilege to coach, never taking a play off and always displaying exceptional awareness."
