PITTSBURG, Kansas – The Ouachita women's indoor track & field team ran well, breaking three school records at the Wendy's/Pitt State Invitational on Saturday.
 
Zoe Carter set a new record in the 600m with a time of 1:28.64, breaking the previous record by nearly two seconds for a seventh-place finish in the event.
 
Ellie Hoemann set a new 800m school record with a time of 2:20.47, breaking her own record by over a second and placing in the top 20 of the event.
 
The distance medley relay squad of Izzi Breaux, Anna Woolsey, Jaci McGregor, and Macie Cash broke the school record by more than six seconds with a time of 12:20.33 to place sixth in the event.
 
The Tigers had one runner place in the top five at the invitational as Katelynn Nachtigal placed fourth in the 3000m with a time of 10:20.19.
 
There were multiple top 20 finishes many personal bests were set by the Tigers at Saturday's meet that consisted of top Division II and JUCO programs as well as well known Division I teams.
 
The Tigers have a couple weeks off before heading back to Kansas for the Gorilla Classic hosted by Pitt State. The two-day meet will take place February 9-10 in Pittsburg, Kansas.
