ADA, Oklahoma – The Ouachita men's and women's cross country teams are set to compete in the 2024 Great American Conference Championships.
 
The GAC Championships are hosted this year by East Central University and are taking place tomorrow, Saturday, October 26 at the Oak Hills Golf & Country Club in Ada, Oklahoma.
 
The men will run the 8K first at 8:30 a.m. followed by the women running the 5K at 9:30 a.m.
 
Both Tiger squads have put up solid performances in the regular season. The men and women's teams both have three meet wins, having won the Bob Gravett Invitational, Argonaut Invitational, and the Tiger Invitational.
 
The women were picked second in the preseason GAC coaches' poll, are currently ranked No. 10 in the central region, and will be looking for their second conference championship in three years. The men were tabbed fourth in the preseason poll and will be looking to pull off upsets over three regionally ranked GAC programs.
 
East Central will livestream the awards ceremony at 10:30 a.m. ECU is also charging admission; tickets are $15 for general admission, $5 for ages 60 and older, and children under 12 get in for free. Links to the awards ceremony stream and live results can be found at obutigers.com/coverage.
