ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita women's swimming and diving team picked up a dominant 160-77 win over cross-street rival Henderson State Friday night on the opposite side of Highway 7.
The Tigersharks won 11 of the 13 events to earn their first dual meet win of the season.
Keilee Holcomb earned three wins in the meet, taking first in the 50 Freestyle (24.99), the 100 Freestyle (53.36), and the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:08.72 to rack up 27 points for the Tigersharks.
Anna Phelps also picked up three wins against HSU, placing first in the 1000 Free by 11 seconds (10:43.10), the 400 IM by more than 10 seconds (4:47.89), and the 500 Freestyle by seven seconds with a time of 5:15.95 to earn a total of 27 points for Ouachita.
Britta Andruss won the 200 Freestyle by almost two seconds with a time of 2:00.21.
Abigail Conard won both the 1-Meter Dive by more than 25 points (191.10) and the 3-Meter Dive by 1.1 points (178.00).
Didi Christenson won the 100 Butterfly with a time of 59.92 and was the only swimmer to swim under the one-minute mark in the event.
The 200 Medley Relay Squad of
Jameson Tankersley,
Kaylee Stika, Christenson, and
Sophie Derby won the event by more than half a seconds with a time of 1:51.81.
The women racked up 26 top three finishes en route to the 160-77 win.
This is the fourth dual meet win in a row for the Tigersharks over the RedWave, who received votes in the most recent CSCAA Top 25 poll. Most recently, Ouachita also beat HSU at the All Arkansas Invitational.
The Tigersharks will look to keep up the success when they travel to Cleveland, Mississippi to compete in the Delta State University Turkey Invitational that will run November 22-24.
