EVANSVILLE, Indiana – Ouachita's participants at the 2026 NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships have completed five events through Thursday with three more to go in the final two days.
Three divers competed in the qualifying round on Tuesday, and while they did not make the nationals field, all three –
Carson Powers,
Elijah Donaldson, and
Gabriel Palomino – improved their scores from last year.
On Wednesday,
Anna Phelps competed in the women's 1,000 freestyle, finishing 31st with a time of 10:31.59. She was back in the pool on Thursday competing in the 100 butterfly. She finished 27th with a time of 56.17, which was faster than her time at the NSISC Championships last month.
Stefan Duca also competed on Thursday, swimming a new personal best time of 1:37.26 in the 200 freestyle. He is second fastest in Ouachita men's swimming history in the event.
Phelps is back in the pool on Friday swimming her primary event, the 200 butterfly. Prelims start at 10 a.m. Duca will be back in the pool on Saturday for the 200 backstroke, and he will join teammates
Ian Redman Aguilar,
Sam Ragsdell, and
James Savarese in the 400 freestyle relay in the final event on Saturday night.
