RUSSELLVILLE, Arkansas – The Great American Conference has selected Ouachita's Madeleine Tipton as the league's offensive player of the week.

Tipton led the GAC this past week in three major offensive categories and tied for the league-best in another. She scored 51 total points for an average of 25.5 points per game. The junior from Vilonia also led the league in field goals made (17). Her seven made three-pointers tied for a league-best.

Of her seven made three-pointers, perhaps the most significant was at the final buzzer of Ouachita's 66-65 win over Arkansas-Fort Smith this past Saturday at home. She finished that game with 24 points and five rebounds. Two days earlier, she turned in a game-high 27 points in a GAC road loss to Harding.

Tipton and the Tigers will return to the hardwood on New Year's Eve, hosting Williams Baptist for an exhibition game starting at 2 p.m.
